Please Keep Paul Nelson in Your Prayers 🙏

We have an update on Paul Nelson, who was injured during bronc riding after being stepped on. Paul sustained several serious injuries, including broken ribs, a broken sternum, and a partially collapsed lung. He has been transferred to Children’s Hospital for further care.

Paul is one of the toughest cowboys we know, and he has worked incredibly hard throughout this season. We can only imagine how difficult and disappointing this setback must be for him, especially after all the time, dedication, and determination he has put into his rodeo journey.

Right now, we ask that you join us in lifting Paul up in prayer. Please pray for his healing, strength, comfort, and patience as he faces the road to recovery. We know he has the heart of a cowboy, but even the toughest cowboys need their community standing behind them.

Paul, we’re all pulling for you! Take the time you need to heal, and know that you have a whole rodeo family rooting for you every step of the way. 🙏

I can't believe we are already at our October Rodeo! Just a few reminders!

CONTESTANTS — TIME TO GET YOUR SPOOKY ON! 👻🤠 Dress up yourself, your horse, or BOTH! Want to be a cowboy vampire? A cowgirl witch? A skeleton on a horse? A rodeo pumpkin? Go for it!
We’ll have a COSTUME PARADE during Grand Entry, so come ready to show off your Halloween creativity!
AND YES… THERE WILL BE AWARDS! 🏆
We’ll choose the BEST COSTUME in EACH AGE DIVISION — INCLUDING THE ADULTS!

CONTESTANTS! You may wear your costumes in the arena to compete. HOWEVER, costumes must be safe for the rider and the horse; contestants must wear boots.

👀 ADULTS, THIS IS YOUR WARNING…
You can’t spend all day telling the kids to have fun and then sit there looking all boring! 😂 Decorate that vehicle. Dress up. Dress up your horse. Wear something ridiculous. Have some fun with your kids!

*Theme: Tough Enough to Wear Black (Breast Cancer Awareness)
**Verse: 2 Peter 3:9 - The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
***Side Pots: Barrels, Tie-Down Roping
