This might've been the most unique day in our club's 92-year history.

To have the actual Stanley Cup on our beach and be able to host the public for a once-in-a-lifetime experience? Unbelievable.

From sweet newborns to seniors, everyone was in awe.

The Stanley Cup is coming to the Franklin Rod & Gun Club!

That's not a typo. You're not hallucinating. We're not joking.

The real, actual, Lord Stanley's Cup will be at the Franklin Rod & Gun Club on Friday, Sept. 11 from 10 am - 1 pm. It's free and open to the public so if you want your picture taken with the Cup, come on down.

Park in the upper dirt lot or along the right side of the street and make your way down to 53 Florence St. We'll have a line going down to the beach where the Cup will be waiting.

This is not a drill. I repeat, this is not a drill.

See you tomorrow for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!

Hi folks. We have some bad news.

It doesn't look like we're going to be able to hold our all-you-can-eat breakfast this month (Sept. 20) due to ongoing work being done at the club.

We're really, really sorry. Believe us, we love hosting you just as much as you love eating here. But, as with all projects, you run into unforeseen roadblocks and work tends to take a little longer than expected.

But October is a definite so mark Oct. 18 on your calendar and we'll be back with a vengeance!

Sorry about that and we miss you, but we'll see you soon.

Brian, one of our newer members, was fishing when he caught something remarkable.

A golf ball to the face!

An unfortunate and accidental slice, but thanks to the kind and concerned golfers who got him help and the docs who stitched him up, Brian was back on the pond snagging bass a few hours later.

And a new fishing legend was born.
