A reminder when going through those times in life that are challenges. They are there to shape us…teach us the things our souls are meant to learn.

"And once the storm is over, you won't remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won't even be sure, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain.
When you come out of the storm, you won't be the same person who walked in. That's what this storm's all about."
- Haruki Murakami, Kafka on the Shore

Say goodbye to 2023 and set your deepest heart intention/desire for the upcoming year with a 1 hour yoga Nidra (relaxing guided meditation).

Yoga Nidra is a deep, powerful relaxation technique that instills a sense of peace, leaving you relaxed and rejuvenated.

The Nidra will start with a short, gentle yoga practice, followed by setting your Sankalpa, your heart's desire for the upcoming year, and then a guided meditation.

I am conducting my annual New Year Sankalpa at The Barefoot Haven in Greendale on Sunday, December 31st, 11 am.
This is the PERFECT way to wrap up the holiday frenzy and set your path for a new year!

*Pre-registration is required. Cost is $15. Register at BarefootHaven.com.
Please bring your own blanket (and a pillow if you wish).

For six years now I’ve ended my yoga classes with a gong from Thailand. My husband Tom brought it home after conducting some training there.
He asked the Colonel of the Tailand Police (pictured on the left) where he could find one for me and the Colonel put out the request to his staff.
The wonderful officer (pictured in the center), found one and drove 1.5 hours to get it to Tom to bring home to me.
Such a beautiful story of kindness & a most special gong. ❤️

From the legendary golf instructor Harvey Penick in his 'The Little Blue Book', "I can't imagine a more useful pursuit for a golfer than the study of yoga".
Harvey you were so right!

Some have asked that I share my reading from a class this week. So here it is, a little Wayne Dyer wisdom...
How people treat you is their karma. How you react is yours. I have seen the way that karma works in this lifetime and I know that everything we put out into the world comes back to us in some form. Because of that, no matter how poorly or unfairly I believe I’m being treated by someone, I will not, and I repeat, will not, allow it to get the best of me.

I strive to either not react at all, or find it within myself to treat those people with as much kindness and consideration as I can muster, even when it hurts and even when I feel they don’

As soon as I convinced myself that this moment is where my life should be whether I liked it or not, the sooner I found peace.

So remember this…peace is the result of training your mind to process life as it is, rather than as you think it should be.
