Busy day at the farm today! Started with some saddle breaking on this 2 year old c**t, and a great lesson with our current horse that’s in for training. Getting that team ready to run some barrels next season!

This little mare had her first ride today, and first time with a bit in. We’ve kept slowly progressing to this point with a lot of fear based reactions we had to resolve. Very happy to say she was not scared and was using the thinking side of her brain.. Thankfully 😅

New client horse in, 3 year old mare who, a couple weeks ago wasn’t even comfortable with walking on a lead line. She is coming along smoothly, and gonna be a fun one once she gets comfortable. Today we learned what a saddle is, and how fun it is to try and buck it off! lol

✨Ozzie✨ UPDATE: His owner has decided not to sell!
10 year old gelding, has plenty of training and anyone can be put on him, kids, adults, anyone.
Companion horse‼️
- Ozzie can be ridden at a walk and on trails, but hills do cause soreness. He is a very easy keeper, gets along with everyone, and he is such a love bug.
He is UTD with coggins and all shots.
If you’re looking for a simple companion you can get on and still continue your passion in a small way. This guy is the one for you. Please send me a message if you’re interested in more information! He is going to need a quality farrier and quality care, where he goes will be done cautiously.

You Do not Ride like The Trainer.
1. Don’t blame the horse or trainer if you get a horse home and cannot re-create the exact same riding experience you saw in a training video. You don't likely ride as well as the trainer.
2. Often, it isn't that Horses are drugged or misrepresented, they are just frequently landing in less experienced, or at best, different hands than the last person they carried around.
3. We are responsible for being sure we have a continuing education about horses and their psychology, kind and effective ground work and how to be a balanced, good rider.
4. When a new horse seems different when you lead or ride her than you saw her be with the seller, rescue or trainer - you are the difference.
