Hartwood High School is excited to announce Coach David Reck as our inaugural Head Boys Wrestling Coach.

Coach Reck competed collegiately at the United States Air Force Academy and Virginia
Tech, earning All-American honors during his wrestling career. Coach Reck comes to Hartwood from Spotsylvania High School where he has helped build one of the area’s top wrestling programs since 2017. Coach Reck led Spotsylvania to their first regional championship in program history in 2023 while also earning Free Lance–Star Coach of the Year honors.

Coach Reck is also a founder of the Wild Buffalo Wrestling Club and is passionate about developing disciplined, hardworking athletes on and off the mat.

In addition to serving as the Head Coach for Boys Wrestling, Coach Reck will also serve as a Health & P.E. teacher for HHS.
