My five year old wanted a wallet to hold his “money bucks”, this is what we came up with.

For sure more refinements needed but I learned alot making this little pouch for my muzzleloading powder and rounds. This was my first “real” attempt at making a case (or anything with sides/gussets).

Haven’t been able to use the knife shop for awhile, so I’m working on my leather game. Here’s some projects from the past week.

Finally, I got another off the bench. This one is W2 with a hamon. The handle is constructed of Desert Ironwood with stainless corby bolts.

When I got into making blades I was quickly drawn towards kitchen cutlery, which has grown my appreciation for cooking. One thing I've learned very quickly is that a blade in the kitchen is a tool and has to be just right to perform efficiently. So, a few months ago I decided to make a blade and give it to a local chef for professional feedback. He just sent me some pics and has provided excellent feedback. I guess the lesson I learned, as a newer maker, is that you shouldn't always be in a rush to sell.

This blade is nearly done, just some finishing touches left. It is a W2 and Wrought Iron san mai with a bog oak handle held together with a stainless corby bolt.

Some wrought and W2 sanmai, lots of work to do still but I think it pulled an auto hamon too.

Forgot to post this one. This was a little post holiday invasion forge time. My version of a kiridashi in a sanmai.
