More importantly... how confident are you in the stallion you chose?
What is your actual goal for the foal? Are you breeding for a specific discipline, more athletic ability, better movement, stronger maternal influence, improved conformation, greater earning potential, a future show horse, a breeding prospect... or some combination of those things? What, specifically, are you hoping this cross will produce?
Because picking a stallion you love is one thing. Seeing how that stallion actually stacks up against other stallions for YOUR mare is another. ๐งฌ๐

Maybe you nailed it. Maybe another stallion comes screaming out of left field like "Hey Youuuuuuu Guyyyyyyyys!" ๐ Either way, youโll have more information than you started with.
Breeding decisions are expensive. The resulting foal can be part of your program for decades. There is absolutely nothing wrong with loving a stallion... but love is not a statistical methodology.
