Another Fools Fest in the books and a new Mother Superior named. A big thank you to Mike Irwin (left) for the last 2 years as Mother Superior as he passes on the role to Nate Morrow! We're looking forward to what Nate has in store for the next 2 years.

Mike helped The Mothers win the 2025 Fools Fest Spirit Award and this Fools Fest they got to the championship round of their bracket. Also, brought our frisbee community together for a super fun and spirited over/under game last Summer. Again, thank you for everything that you've done as Mother Superior for the Fredericksburg Mothers! 🙏🥏

Our annual Over/Under was back, hosted by Mother Superior, Mike Irwin and the Fredericksburg Mothers! A great turnout from our community including several players representing FYUL. Another fun spirited game with the Overs winning 15-7 this year. Additonally, congrats to David Register for winning this year's Spirit Award🏆

So much to share here from Momma Mike Irwin! Sorry for the lengthy post!

1) Friday pickup is still happening for just a few more weeks. Note that I just changed the start time to 5PM. The end time is pure lies. I cannot figure out how to change that. Anyway, please try to arrive earlier because the days are getting short and we’ll be lucky to play much past 6:30.

• Speaking of these last few pickups, are you all wanting to play on Halloween evening? If we don’t have numbers, we may need to cut the season a week early.

• But...don’t worry, you don’t have to go without Ultimate all winter! Hopefully. The goal is to get some regular Sunday afternoon games going, so start penciling that in!

2) Don’t forget, Over/Under game this Sunday at 2:30! And don’t forget that it’s at Old Walker Grant! Potluck to follow, so bring a dish if you can, and let’s hang out for a bit after playing!

3) Hattoween! 25 October. Always a good time, and highly recommend! Be sure to register by Tuesday, 21 October. If you try to sign up late, Keys Pattie will hate you forever.

Matty B had a huge night as well, finding the opossum, winning a basketball apparel raffle AND was awarded the MMP Jackie Moon award alongside WMP Hana Choi!! The highest of honors here in Fred Vegas ♥️
