One weekend doesn’t undo your progress.
If the scale is a little higher after Labor Day weekend, there are plenty of normal reasons for it. Extra sodium, more carbs, larger meals, alcohol, and a change in routine can all lead to temporary water retention and more food volume in your system.
That’s why one weigh-in never tells the whole story.
The best thing you can do is simply return to your usual routine. Eat normally, hydrate, get some movement in, and get back to your workouts.
And remember, workouts aren’t there to “burn off” what you ate. Training works because you do it consistently over time to build strength, improve your health, and support your goals.
Enjoy the weekend, enjoy the food, and then keep going.
Progress is built by what you do most of the time. 💪
