The countdown is on for the 2026–27 NJODP Tryouts as players from across New Jersey prepare for the opportunity to represent their state and be part of one of the most historic ODP programs in the country.

This is more than tryouts. It’s a chance to train with top players, learn from outstanding coaches, compete at high-level events, and experience the full ODP pathway — from NJODP to Regional and National opportunities.

New season. New talent. New opportunities.

NJODP had a great weekend competing at the East Region Tournament, facing ODP state teams from across the Eastern Region.

The event provided our players with the opportunity to showcase their abilities in front of East Region scouts as they conclude their journey through the ODP pathway. Players identified at this event may be invited to attend the East Region ID Camp, with the opportunity to further progress toward Inter-Regional Events and potential selection to the ODP National Select Team.

Congratulations and thank you to all of our players for their effort, commitment, and professionalism throughout the weekend. We are proud of the way you represented NJODP, New Jersey, and yourselves with passion, pride, and sportsmanship.

An Amazing Weekend for Our Young Olympians!

Our Young Olympian players had a fantastic time competing in their 4v4 Festival this weekend. There were plenty of goals, lots of smiles, and countless opportunities for players to express themselves and enjoy the game.

The 4v4 format encourages creativity, confidence, and lots of touches on the ball, making it a great environment for player development and fun.

Thank you to all of the players, coaches, and families who made the event such a success.

Next up: the 9v9 Festival! We can't wait to see our players continue their development and put their skills on display.

A Special Moment in Barcelona

During our recent NJODP trip to Barcelona, Spain, Joel Sirleaf didn’t just compete, he performed at a national-level standard, earning respect on an international stage.

His impact was so strong that it was recognized not only by NJODP, but by our Spanish opposition as well. In a remarkable show of sportsmanship, CF Juventud 25 De Septiembre invited Joel into their locker room, presented him with their jersey, and named him MVP of the match.

Moments like this go beyond the game. They reflect excellence, character, and the universal language of football.

We’re proud to see our players represent NJODP in this way. Well done Joel.

Our NJODP teams had the unique opportunity to hear from former NJODP player, World Cup veteran, U20 National Team coach, and NJ soccer legend Tab Ramos this weekend at our training sessions.
Tab shared valuable insights on the importance of training on your own, understanding the player pathway, and the key qualities needed to become an impactful player.
We want to thank Tab for taking the time to connect with both our boys and girls ODP teams. An unforgettable experience for everyone involved.
