Member Spotlight 🐦‍🔥🌟: Stella!

Coach Henry has known Stella since she was 4 years old at her first soccer lessons! From very early on she fell in love with soccer. Her favorite player is Alex Morgan.

Stella always has a smile on her face from start to end of every soccer lesson and LOVES to train. The R2S coaches have so much fun training Stella, because she enjoys every drill no matter how simple, or complex.

Sometimes, she comes into the training facility forgetting to say hello, and goes straight to practicing some of her favorite drills on her own before class starts.

Her passion for soccer, always trying her best, attention to detail, and most importantly her positive energy, radiates around the room, affecting all of the other players in the lesson to work just as hard with a smile on their face.

Summer of 2024, at 7 years old, when Stella first came to train at R2S, she had made a travel team, but was really struggling with every technical area. She felt behind all her friends. And she was right. At her first group session, you could tell she was very behind.

The R2S coaches realized she needed 1on1 help, to catch her up and got her set up with weekly private 1on1 sessions. We knew she could do it with her hunger and love for the game.

Throughout her time so far with us, we made her feet faster, her footwork more coordinated , worked on her speed & agility, taught her how to use different parts of her feet to dribble the ball, various ways and tools to change direction with the ball, she passes the ball firmly and accurately, she traps the ball like it’s glued to her feet, skills like scissors, v-snaps, and L-drags combined in complex patterns, how to curve her shots around defenders with her inside foot, shooting with power with the bone of her foot, and small sided scrimmages that improved her understanding of the game

1 year later, she’s now in group classes, I can say without a doubt she’s ahead of majority of her age bracket, and can even hang with the older groups. Older members/players watch in awe of what she can do. Her team coach has relayed to her parents that Stella is as technical as players years older than her 07/13/2025
