Congratulations to Austin for his win last night in the modified race at Angola Motor Speedway!!🏁

The team started our day yesterday at 5:08am leaving the race shop to practice at Owosso Speedway in preparation for the Michigan Modified series event. The testing was positive given the cooler track conditions and changes made to both cars. Austin qualified P16 and Colton P18 in a stout field of cars with the early testing setups. In the 50 lap feature the cars showed speed but did not respond as we had hoped on the long runs. Austin spun on lap 17 and suffered front nose damage and Colton had to spin himself on purpose in order to avoid a pile up later in the race. Austin was scored 19th and Colton finished 16th. We have a plan to improve the performance of both cars and it is going to take time for us to see the results however, we are committed to getting to the winners circle again. We will be back at Owosso Speedway on August 15th for the final Michigan Modified Series event and in the interim we will be racing locally at Angola Motor Speedway. A big thanks to all the sponsors, fans and followers of Team Coe Motorsports that support our team!!

A very different outcome for both Colton and Austin last night in the modified race at Angola Motor Speedway. Last weeks qualifying results were disappointing and so the team went to work in the shop and made a number of changes. This week Colton started P1 and Austin P6 with the inversion and both cars were racy. Colton dodged and weaved his way back to the front after falling behind at the start. He avoided the on track chaos throughout the race as did Austin. Colton’s final position was P2 and Austin P4. We have established a much improved setup now for future races. Austin was fast qualifier in Jeremy Wallen’s late model and started P7 with the inversion. Despite having major brake issues he finished P4. This car is a fast hotrod and Jeremy has it ready for the Al Cook race in August. The team will be in action next on July 11 in the Michigan Modified series event at Owosso Speedway. We will be in the Howe cars for that race and look forward to seeing how recent changes and updates improve the performance of both cars.
