Born in Korea, Master Park Castillo attained not only his Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do, but also learned the extreme form of self-defense technique, Kuk Ki Do. Once in the United States, he became one of the top ten fighters in the country, and the team that he was a member of became number one in the world. We have developed this special program to provide your child with the following benefits:
The emphasis of our program is an establishing Discipline and Courtesy in the child. The structure of respect is built into Tae Kwon Do instruction, with bowing to all higher belts and obeying the teacher’s instruction without question. The program builds Confidence and Character by providing the child with control over his or her body and the ability to stand up to peer pressure and other intimidating situation. The movement of Tae Kwon Do develops Coordination and increases strength and flexibility, which is very important during the growth years. The awarding of the higher levels of Tae Kwon Do gives the child a sense of Achievement and Accomplishment. Training for these test and passing them enhances the child’s ability to concentrate, plain for and triumph over learning hurdles. This is an excellent reinforcement of study techniques for school. Tae Kwon Do instruction also involves Olympic style competition (sport Tae Kwon Do). This help develop a sense of fair play in a controlled competitive situation
The foundation of Tae Kwon Do; Tae means jump strike or kick with the foot, Kwon means hands and Do is the mind or the way of study. We are very careful to each child that Tae Kwon Do is not to be used outside the Tae Kwon Do class in any manner other than in true self-defense. The result is a self-confident child, who does not need to bully or show off to other. And finally. Tae Kwon Do is good, clean fun for kids a great way to burn off extra energy.
