I participated in this world as an athlete (prep school, 6+ hour training days), and now I’ve owned my training facility for 13 years where I try to combat this through education and common sense. I’ve had kids I worked with from a young age who turned pro, and others who were exceptionally talented, but peaked young and got burned out or injured. The amount of parents who email or DM me about their “high level” or “elite” 8 year old athlete, try to send me their highlight film or HUDL account, is just crazy.
