Let’s move to build connections and community with the aim to conquer Parkinson’s disease, a progressive neurological disorder that, currently, does not have a cure. Because exercise has been shown to slow the progression of Parkinson's, we have created an event that provides plenty of opportunities to get moving. Join us as we shake things up to raise awareness and support for those affected by PD.
Unite with your community at Move to Stop Parkinson's for a cause that is important to all of us- our health. It determines how much we can be present in the here-and-now, how much we can do with our day, and, ultimately, how many days we get.
When you are faced with an illness that gets progressively worse and there is no cure, you learn to take your days in stride and seize every opportunity to share those precious moments that make life so fulfilling. In tribute to this attitude, we have planned a fun-filled day to spend with your family, friends, and community.
Registration is just $15 per person and includes all of the following: an opportunity to get moving, a picnic lunch, Ampersand ice cream, face painting or henna, arts and crafts, carnival games with prizes, and a photobooth. Children under 5 are free.
You can choose from the following movement opportunities: walking, stationary cycling, seated exercise, or simply spectate. If you can't make it, you can still contribute to the cause. Simply visit our website to learn more.
Don't miss out on an opportunity to create heart-warming memories while supporting your community. Register today!
