We just wrapped up the California HS State Wrestling tournament in Bakersfield! This year might have been the most exciting & rewarding tournament of my coaching career. We had 9 CIF State finalists & 11 total state placers with 5 wrestlers winning state titles Saturday night. In a state like California that only has 1 class with such incredible history & wrestling culture this is something to be proud of.

Winning a state championship has been a dream for these athletes from a young age and also a big priority for our club, since it’s a necessary step in earning a division 1 full scholarship that pays for their education. At the end of the day seeing them earn scholarships and compete at the NCAA tournament is one of many goals of our club.

So BIG congratulations to the wrestlers & their families on placing at this years CIF State Championship.

Wanted to give everyone an update on our kids competing in Bakersfield this weekend at the state tournament.

Dethrone WC wrestlers just went 9 for 9 in the semis! Has to be a record for our club. 9 total finalists ❤️

4 Girls & 5 Boys are CIF State Finalists & will be wrestling tonight at 6:15pm for the championship.
