Historical European Martial arts / Historical Fencing It is based on historical manuscripts created around the 14th century.
Iron Gate Swordfighting is an Historical Fencing club that studies the art of Armizare, an Italian martial art created by master Fiore dei Liberi. We train in Grappling, Dagger, Longsword, Poleaxe and Spear along with various other weapons from the Historical European Martial Arts. We also travel and compete in tournaments. Historical fencing is a rapidly growing sport.
Hey folks! Iron Gate will be at the Tulare County Renaissance Faire this weekend, 4/18 and 4/19, so we will not have our regularly scheduled class on Sunday. Starting Sunday 4/26 we will be back up and running our regular longsword classes at our new location!
Sunday's class on 4/5 is unfortunately cancelled while we work out finalizing our new location, stay tuned for when they resume shortly!
