Teaching the Left Cross, as taught to me by Filipino Boxing coaches…and perfected by the GOAT

This is part of our Suntukan (Filipino Boxing) curriculum. We want to honor not just the Filipino martial arts, but also the heritage of Boxing in the Philippines.

Father-To-Son: Training my son in the Filipino Martial Arts (FMA) after his Boxing session with me at the gym.

This drill has its roots in armed, battlefield combat in the Philippines. It is also beneficial for teaching hand speed, hand-eye coordination, and calming the mind. The BOSU ball adds a different level of difficulty and supercharges the nervous system.

While it is my goal to raise my sons to be Protectors, it’s also my goal to have a close bond with them. The 🇵🇭 Martial Arts were the gateway to empowering myself as a young man through my Filipino heritage. I want pass that onto my sons as well.
