We are Christians who enjoy cycling and physical fitness; we want to add spiritual fitness via a devotional on a ride.

Our goals are to provide a devotional and a place to share pictures of groups who used a devotional.

Here's a devotional for your cycling group:
Devotional #5
What is the most foolish thing you’ve done on a bike in front of others?

Listen to Daniel Chapter 5 in your Bible App.

Daniel 5
5 Suddenly the fingers of a human hand appeared and wrote on the plaster of the wall, near the lampstand in the royal palace. The king watched the hand as it wrote. 6 His face turned pale and he was so frightened that his legs became weak and his knees were knocking.

1. When someone says to someone else, “Dude, the writing is on the wall,” what are they trying to communicate? What are the circumstances of this comment usually?

2. What are the circumstances leading up to verses 5 and 6 in Daniel chapter 5?

3. In Daniel 5:10, who recommends Daniel for interpreting the message left on the wall by the “hand”? Why didn’t anybody else recommend Daniel?

4. What was the message on the wall? Daniel 5:25-28. If you were in Daniel’s position, would you have told the king the messages’ meaning? How did the king react in verse 29? What happened to the king of Babylon?

5. What “writing on the wall” do we ignore?

Devotional #4 Good Friday Devotional
If you could resurrect any bike from history, what bike would you resurrect?

When Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit. At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split and the tombs broke open. The bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life. —Matthew 27:50–52

1. After Jesus “gave up his spirit,” what events took place?

2. What effect did this have on the people of Jerusalem?

3. If you were there, what would you have done?

4. Why did these events happen on Good Friday and not on Easter morning?

5. How can these events strengthen our faith?

Here's a devotional for group discussion and encouragement:

Bike Question: How can you tell if cycling has become an idol in your life?

Instead of a podcast, listen to the Book of Daniel in your Bible app.

1.What do you know about the stories from the Book of Daniel?

2.What does our modern world want us to worship?

3.In our world, what happens if you do not worship the modern gods?

Daniel 3:5-6
'As soon as you hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipe and all kinds of music, you must fall down and worship the image of gold that King Nebuchadnezzar has set up. Whoever does not fall down and worship will immediately be thrown into a blazing furnace.”

4.What happened to the three Jews who refused to worship the statue of the Babylonian king?

5.Who was in the fire with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego?

6.How can this story encourage our faith?

Devotional: Hope

Bike Question: What is your dream bike vacation?

As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty (stuck up), nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life. O Timothy, guard the deposit entrusted to you. Avoid the irreverent babble and contradictions of what is falsely called "knowledge," for by professing it some have swerved from the faith. Grace be with you.
1 Timothy 6:17‭-‬21

What should our greatest hopes and future treasures be?
What role does prayer play in our hopes?

This page will share a devotional that can be repeated before a ride, in the middle or at the end of a ride. We hope that Christian cyclists will use the devotionals posted and share a photo from a ride. It would be great to see photos from all around. Being physically fit is valuable; add spiritual fitness and that is a winning combination.
