Meet our owner, director, and competition teacher, Mrs. Erin! Mrs. Erin established Broadway Dance Company in 2008. Since then, she has trained hundreds of dancers (along with her amazing staff!) and has strived to make BDC feel like family for each and every one. Creative and hard-working, Mrs. Erin loves her students, has a true passion for teaching, and seeks to glorify God in all she does. “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” Col. 3:17 💕

You know her and love her... Mrs. Laura! Mrs. Laura began shadowing Mrs. Erin in Season 3 and teaching at BDC in Season 4! Mrs. Laura's exceptional work ethic was noticed right away, as well as her beautiful ballet technique and her passion for working with dancers of all abilities. A full-time social worker by day and wife and mother of two, we are so blessed that DANCE is her passion and she chooses to spend her evenings with us!

Here comes the bride... Miss Morgan! We celebrate her today as she prepares for her wedding this weekend! Miss Morgan was one of our very first BDC dancers... since SEASON ONE!... and she went on to be a fierce competition team dancer. In college, she danced for the UTM Skyhawks Dance Team! Last year, Miss Morgan returned to BDC to begin teaching our tiniest dancers and tumblers. This year, she continues to teach while also attending physical therapy school. We are so honored to have this smart, energetic, sweet, and hard-working young woman on our team!

You already know her and love her… Mrs. Essie! Mrs. Essie began taking dance with Mrs. Erin as a three year old in Season 2, and went on to be a fierce competition team dancer until she graduated. After a year off beginning her professional career as a CNA, Mrs. Essie returned to BDC to moonlight as a dance teacher! From our Tiny Dancers to our most advanced ballet and contemporary class, Mrs. Essie is crushing it at the teaching game, and her contemporary choreo is the best!! Mrs. Essie is as sweet as she is talented, and we are blessed to have her 💕

You know her from the stage… and now, we welcome Miss Gabriella to our teaching staff! Miss Gabriella began dancing at 3 years old and competing at age 10. She gained experience as a BDC teaching assistant from 2019-2023 and polished her teaching skills this summer as a Camp Blue and Camp Bluey teacher!

Miss Gabriella graduated high School at age 16 and began attending Jackson State Community College. Here, she is working towards her associates degree in business management.

Gabriella’s favorite dance styles are tap and jazz. In addition to recitals and competitions, she has participated in three Dance the Magic parades at Walt Disney World, giving her the opportunity to dance down Main Street, USA! Gabriella also loves musical theater and has been in many productions at Theater Off Broadway and beyond. We are so excited to have Miss Gabriella join us on staff, and we know you are too!

Most of you already know and love Miss Sidda, and we couldn’t be more excited to officially welcome her to our teaching staff this season! Over the past 15 years at Broadway Dance Company, we’ve had the joy of watching her grow from a bright-eyed student into a trusted teaching assistant, substitute teacher, and now, leading some of her very own classes.

A well-rounded dancer with a special love for tap and jazz, Miss Sidda is passionate about helping every student grow in both confidence and ability. She has a heart for our youngest dancers and loves encouraging them, celebrating their accomplishments, and helping them discover the same love for dance that has shaped her own life.

When she’s not at the studio, you’ll usually find her doing something dance-related—whether she’s performing, volunteering at Theater off Broadway, or checking another show off her ever-growing Broadway bucket list. She also loves spending time cheering on her little brother at his games and supporting the people she loves.

Looking ahead, Miss Sidda plans to participate in the Disney College Program with the goal of building a career in Disney entertainment, where she can combine her passion for performance with hospitality and tourism. While she’s excited about where her journey is taking her, she’s just as excited to continue sharing her love of dance and inspiring the next generation of Broadway dancers along the way.

We’re so proud of the young woman she’s become and can’t wait to see the impact she’ll make in the classroom. Welcome, Miss Sidda! 💙

Congratulations to our BDC All-Stars! These talented, hard-working dancers will be representing BDC in Nashville, Memphis, and St. Louis in competition this year! Our All-Stars have also performed in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in NYC, with Dance the Magic at Walt Disney World, at halftime for the Harlem Globetrotters, and with the Moscow/International Ballet. We are so proud of you and can't wait to watch you SHINE this year!
