A lot of patients come in worried about their posture because they don’t want to end up with that big upper back curve or forward head position later in life. 🙌
I get it. For many people, that can be a scary picture of what aging might look like.
The truth is, some posture changes can come from things we can’t fully control, like certain spinal conditions or compression fractures.
But a lot of what affects posture comes from what we do every single day. 👀
Our bones and joints are alive, and they adapt to how we move, sit, stand, and exercise.
If we spend years training the body to hunch forward, the body can start adapting to that position.
That’s why posture work needs to start early — in our 20s, 30s, and 40s — not just once the curve becomes obvious. 💪
Good posture, consistent exercise through full ranges of motion, and regular adjustments can all help keep the joints moving well.
Adjustments also help with proprioception, which is your body’s ability to know where it is in space.
At Pinecrest Chiropractic, I offer a $99 New Patient Special that includes a consultation, exam, doctor’s report of findings, PosturePro analysis, and first adjustment.
