On May 18th, 2013, Radiance Dance Ministry had a Spring recital titled “Dances of Hope”. The recital was a fund raiser; giving our community an opportunity to donate funds for the Pokot people of Kapenguria, Kenya. This endeavor was realized and funds were collected!
Two months after the recital on August 1st, 2013, I had a stroke. Radiance Dance Ministry was put on hold….
Fast forward eight years!
Radiance Dance may have been put on hold, but we never lost HOPE!
Dear Radiance Dance Friends,
The funds raised from the “Dances of Hope” recital eight years ago, are still there! We just sent Pastor Ronald Chumum money to purchase a generator for Bendera Community Church!
This generator is so very important to Bendera Church; located in Kapenguria, Kenya. While there is a third world electrical grid in the county, the user is required to put in the infrastructure for the grid and then also pay high fees to use electricity.
The generator will give Bendera Church the ability to operate without having to rely on the unpredictable and costly access to electricity.
This generator will be used on Sunday mornings and throughout the week to power sound equipment for worship. The generator will be used to power sound equipment when they go out to remote towns and villages to tell others about the love of Jesus. The generator will be used for their training conferences at Bendera Church. It will also be used for training conferences in the Rift Valley with sister churches. This generator will be used at soccer and volleyball events! These events bring many kids and teens from schools in the area; who will hear about the love of Jesus! As you can see, this little generator will be a mighty tool in the hands of our most powerful God!
Steve and I plan to return to Kapenguria, Kenya early in 2022! Our return will facilitate reconnecting with our brothers and sisters at Bendera Community Church. We will Assess and prioritize their needs, and then report back. We will keep everyone updated!

Radiance is a dance ministry troupe for dancers ages 5-9 yrs. Throughout the year, dancers will have an opportunity to perform and minister in local churches, schools and nursing homes. Radiance allows the dancer to form long-lasting friendships, and to be part of a group of serious dancers with a commitment to serve the community through dance. Radiance is comprised primarily of ballet training, along with jazz, tap and lyrical.

Hello Radiance prayer warriors! Will you please pray for Radiance? I am feeling as though the Lord is speaking to my heart as it relates to our late Spring/Summer ministry. I am praying about offering dance camps - one camp per month, May-August. I need clarity, peace, wisdom and strength! If you are able to pray, I would be so grateful. I will keep you updated. Hi Everyone!
God is good! I have made tremendous progress this Summer as I have been recovering from spine surgery. I am so thankful for the Lord’s constant grace, love and care!
This Fall I will turn my focus to building my strength. I am working with a wonderful physical therapist; doing daily exercises AND using my studio space to stretch and pray! (No ballet barre “YET”) 💖
Please continue to pray with me for the “What’s next?” for Radiance. I know the Lord will give us His answer; in His time!
I will keep you all updated!

A little garden fairy told me that our Radiance ballerinas were beautiful yesterday in the Secret Garden Showcase! Their love for dance was used by God to bring joy and encouragement to the residents of Windsor Point! Also, Mr. Steve will be delivering 4 full crates of non-perishable food to the Fuquay-Varina Emergency Food Pantry! That was you, sweet Radiance dancers, that did that!
