This week in athletics at GHS.

We would like to congratulate Lauren Mathis on finishing 3rd in the Girl's 4A/5A South Carolina singles tournament which was held Monday and Tuesday. Despite cold temperatures, it didn't affect Laurens performance on the court.

On Monday Lauren defeated AC Flora, T.L. Hanna, and Gray Collegiate.

Tuesday, Lauren finished the day 1-1, where she defeated the #3 seed to finish 3rd in the state.

Yearly Stats:
21-2 overall
3rd place finish in the SC Singles Tournament
All-State selection
Region 2 5A (back to back) player of the year

We would like to wish Lauren Mathis luck as she continues her quest for a state championship as she competes in the state singles tournament in Columbia SC.
Lauren completed day one with 3 victories over A.C Flora, T.L. Hanna and Gray Collegiate. Lauren moves on to the semi-finals on 11/11/25 weather permitting.

This Saturday 5 Cross Country runners qualified for state finals in Newberry SC.

Indian fans, we will host the Eastside Eagles in the first round of the 5A Div. 2 State Playoffs this Friday night at 7:30pm
