There was a moment early in my practice when I looked in the mirror and did not like who I was becoming.
Stress had quietly taken over. I was moving through life on autopilot, pushing through, numbing out, and slowly losing touch with myself. That moment was my signal. And Yoga Cikitsa is what answered it.
Cikitsa is not therapy in the way most people think of it. Nothing is broken. Nothing needs to be fixed. It is the practice of coming back to your true nature, noticing the patterns that are pulling you away from who you want to be, and making intentional progress toward the life you actually want to live.
It changed everything for me. The way I move. The way I respond. The way I show up for myself and for the people I love.
And on International Yoga Cikitsa Day I just want you to know that this work is available to you too. You do not have to be in crisis to begin. You just have to be ready to stop surviving and start thriving.
We offer 1:1 and small group Cikitsa sessions right here at Rasa Yoga. Comment HEALING below and let's talk about what this could look like for you.

After years of practice and study, here are 3 things you will walk away with from Beyond the Mat. 🪷
💜You will learn to trust yourself.
Stop asking your friends, AI, or social media what to do. You will learn to tap into your own internal wisdom and trust what is already within you.
💜You will learn that discipline is the ultimate self-care.
When you deliver on what you say you are going to do, you build the inner capacity to follow through. Every time.
💜You will have a practice for every stage of your life.
No matter what is happening in your body or your life — there is always a way to practice. This system goes with you everywhere.
Beyond the Mat is a six-week course co-taught by Padma Shakti and Harena EkaBhakti (Heather). We are not just teaching movement. We are teaching the complete system of yoga — applied, useful, and yours to keep.
I cannot wait to see you there. This is going to be a huge shift for you and your practice. 🌟 Comment beyond for the early registration link!
If your body has been holding on to the weight of the world, this one is for you.
We are bringing back our Myofascial Release class on Sunday, August 9th at 3:00 PM. Using therapy balls to roll and release tight muscles, this guided practice helps relieve tension, improve mobility, and leave you feeling deeply relaxed from the inside out.
Whether you came last time and felt the difference, or you have been curious about what myofascial release can do for your shoulders, back, or hips, this is your invitation to find out.
You will leave feeling lighter, looser, and ready to take on the week with renewed energy.
Community balls are provided. If you would like to take a set home, you can add them on for $10 when you register.

Take yourself back to your last yoga class.
You know that feeling after. The calm. The connectedness. How long does it last?
For most of us, a few hours. Maybe into the evening. And then the text comes, the email arrives, someone says something, and you are right back where you started.
So you go back to class. Because that is what you know how to do. And that is not wrong.
But here is what I know after years of practice and study. Asana, the physical practice, is one limb of an eight-limb system. Your mat is your laboratory. It is where you learn yourself. But it is one part of something much larger.
The other seven limbs are where you learn to take what you feel on the mat and carry it into your actual life.
You are not doing anything wrong. You just have never been taught the full system.
That is why Gurudev and I created Beyond the Mat.
Six weeks. Six limbs. Real application, not lecture, not teacher training. You will learn each limb of Patanjali's Yoga Sutras and practice how to live it.
Here is what changes when you do.
You stop looking outside yourself for answers and start trusting what is already within you. You learn to recognize when your nervous system is dysregulated in real time, and you know what to do about it, not because you read it somewhere, but because you have practiced it. And the gap between what you say you will do and what you actually do starts to close, not through force, but through building real inner capacity.
