A Swedish team of experts, including chiropractor Fredrik Lundqvist, physiotherapist Jörgen Sandell, and H&M designer Andreas Halldén, developed an innovative suit. The suit aims to help people with Parkinson’s disease, stroke, and cerebral palsy to improve their mobility.

The suit uses electrical stimulation to reduce tremors and muscle tension with 58 adjustable electrodes. It works by stimulating opposing muscle groups. For example, if the bicep is tense, the suit stimulates the tricep to relax the bicep.

It consists of trousers, a jacket, and a detachable control unit, aiming to relieve chronic pain, relax spastic muscles, activate muscles, and increase blood circulation.

Several clinical studies on the suit are ongoing at universities and hospitals in Sweden, Denmark, France and Lebanon. The design is backed by Ottobock, a German prosthetics company.
