A different kind of post: When building muscle, you will often hear the term "bulking". It is accomplished via caloric surplus, which is usually around 300-500 calories beyond TDEE (total daily energy expenditure). When combined with sufficient mechanical tension, sleep, protein, micro and macro nutrient intake, something called "the training effect", aka adaptation occures: Bigger, Faster, Stronger. Diet is critical for the body to maintain, repair and improve... you can not get something out of nothing. Diet directly affects performance, the difference between success and failure, you cannot out train a poor diet. BTW, chicken tenders wrapped in black forest bacon... not a cutting season nor "clean bulking" haha. And those blueberries, man... fresh off the vine from have single handedly ruined store bought blueberries for me.
