The BEATLES themed birthday part was amazing! So many people went all out on the appetizers and costumes! I said there would be prizes and there are, yet to be distributed. Alison won the best appetizer category because she brought chocolate cake in a bag. She stumped me with that one, and even the tangerines, Coca Cola, still needed hints before I could figure it all out. The LET IT BRIE, and the strawberry field were clever. Liz’s Sgt. stuffed Peppers were great! The best costume goes to Shawn, as Maxwell. The Judge, and Chip’s Sgt. Pepper get honorable mention. Can you guess who Randy and my costumes? If you have any more pics, please post in the comments!!

September was a great month, with 21 events on the calendar! I think one of the highlights was definitely the bat house event, where Chrissy shared her extensive knowledge of bats. Who knew we had so much to learn about our little flying friends?

Our meet and greet was held at Northwest Grille, with a good turnout and, as always, plenty of opportunities to meet new people.

We also enjoyed a jigsaw puzzle event, a pool party, and, of course, lots of Trivia, along with several other fun activities.

Book Club is will be reading “And Then There Were None” by Agatha Christie for October.

A big thank-you to Cheyenne for leading our National Cleanup Day event! It looks like a good time was had by all while accomplishing some important community service. A win-win!

October Is Going to Be a Blast!

We have a lot to look forward to this month, starting with our BEATLES-themed birthday party on October 10th! More than 30 people have already signed up, so it’s shaping up to be quite an event. Costumes are encouraged, creative potluck contributions are expected, and the punch will be flowing! Get ready to twist and shout!

We’re also giving back to our community with a couple of service events, including a coat drive/game night combo and the Alzheimer’s Walk. Our team is a little light this year, so please consider joining us for either event. We even have a 5K with dogs that supports some amazing animal shelters. Who can resist a good cause and a chance to bring your four-legged friends along?

And then there’s Halloween! This year, Halloween falls on a Saturday, and just to make things even better, we get an extra hour of fun when the clocks “fall back” at 2 a.m. on Sunday, November 1. That’s right, an extra hour to party, eat, and enjoy the festivities!

We usually go all out for Halloween, so we’ll see how Liz handles hosting her very first Halloween event. She has a fabulous place with a big fire pit, and she’s quite the foodie, so I’m expecting some seriously good eats. I know I’ll be contributing some gruesome goodness! Let the spooky creativity begin!

Of course, new events are always popping up on our events page. You never know what someone will dream up next, and that’s half the fun of being part of this group!

A Little Reminder for Our Leaders

All leaders who have led at least one event in 2026 are invited to our leaders-only special dinner, complete with food and prizes! And here’s an extra incentive: anyone who leads more than five events earns a FREE year of Adventure Club membership!

So, if you’ve ever thought about leading an event, now’s the time! Just let me know, and your leadership powers will magically appear. No cape required!

Fun Fact: We had a whopping 2,164 logins this month! That’s a whole lot of people checking in to see what adventures are waiting for them.

Here’s to another month of making memories, meeting new friends, giving back, and finding plenty of reasons to get together. See you out there!
