Gainesville Pencak Silat

This finger whip is underrated and under-utilized. Great way to hit the eyes to an unsuspecting attacker and afford a moment to escape or fight back.

Short clip from a class we held this afternoon at Massey Park today in Gainesville. In this video, we stitched together different movements from a Jurus (form) we do and created a drill to practice with a partner. Starts on my side with a vertical elbow inside, to our "waterfall punch", countering a front kick with a downward elbow strike while doing a cross-step back creating a fun flow drill.

Compilation of clips from the 2025 Pencak Silat Festival earlier this month in Herndon, VA. At this event, the head of our system Guru Darren was invited to teach a workshop along with other teachers in ETS Silat to showcase our system to those in attendance, which you will see in this video.

Took a trip to South FL to visit my teacher Guru Darren this past Monday night. Here's a short clip of him in class doing a take down from a front kick and demonstrating how we attack from the ground after an attacker is taken down. Great training! 💪
