❤️ Tim’s Heart Update — October 24–25, 2026
Saturday, October 24:
The doctor gave us encouraging news that if Tim continued doing well, he might be able to come home Monday!
Not even five minutes after the doctor left, around 2:40 PM, Tim went into AFib for the first time since his triple bypass and Maze procedure Thursday. Medication was given to help lower his heart rate, but it remained elevated. He stayed in the ICU overnight.
👀 Sunday, October 25 — 8:04 AM to 12:40 he was out of afib no
Tim is still in AFib and now don't have a clear discharge date. Hope we talk to surgeon tonight or tomorrow morning.
Doctors are monitoring his response to medication. If things don't improve, they may consider electrical cardioversion—a procedure that uses a controlled electrical shock to try to restore a normal heart rhythm.
❤️ A little explanation:
We were warned AFib could return during recovery, even after the Maze procedure. It can happen while the heart is healing and doesn't necessarily mean the procedure was unsuccessful. It's still something the doctors need to monitor closely.
It's hard going from thinking we might finally be heading home Monday to not knowing when. I just want his heart to settle down so we can get him home safely.
Thank you for all the love, prayers, and support. It means more than you know. ❤️🙏
