A huge weekend as parkrun held its 1,000,000th event globally AND parkrun USA had its 1,000,000th finisher on the same day! We hope you could be a part of this watershed moment at Depot Park parkrun #342. It was a hot one, with a start time temperature of 74° and 94% humidity.

This week 88 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 6 were first timers and 8 recorded new Personal Bests. Congratulations on the PBs to Weston Schrock, Joonho Lee, Jerome Scott II, Lesmar Murray, Nicole Hogan, Daniel Gabarron, Yara Elenany, and Xhylin Nogues! Great job to First Five finishers Weston Schrock, Matthew Jordan, Ethan Kaye, Andres Manrique, and Joonho Lee.

Congratulations to Melvin Geovanny Meléndez on reaching the 50 event milestone! Welcome to the red shirt club.

We welcomed parkrun tourists Nick Tarbuck and Jenny Lewton from Arrow Valley parkrun in the UK. Nick and Jenny have participated at 275 different parkrun venues! We’re so glad they added Depot Park to this long list today.

Happy 14th anniversary to parkrun USA! What a journey! It all started with just one event at Livonia parkrun in 2012, brought to life by 28 finishers and seven volunteers. Fast forward to today, and that single spark has grown into an incredible nationwide community of 99 events and thousands of participants!

Oh how far we've come! The data is still rolling in for today, but last weekend saw over 6,000 participants across the country, including nearly 1,000 amazing volunteers! Whether you’ve been with us since day one or joined for the very first time today, thank you for being a part of our family. You are the heart and soul of parkrun USA. 🇺🇸 🎉 👟 🌳
