Through yoga, meditation, mindfulness practices, and movement, I seek to assist others in cultivating love for self and the world around them.
Meditate with me on Insight Timer or at: www.youtube.com/user/egetman1 A native New Jerseyan, I'm a registered yoga teacher (RYT-200) and mind and body guide who currently lives in Gainesville, FL. Through yoga, meditation, mindfulness practices, and various forms of movement, I seek to assist others in cultivating love and compassion for self and the world around them. I studied Hatha and Hridaya
(spiritual heart) yoga at Mahadevi Ashram & Kaivalya Yoga School in Tzununá, Guatemala, where I developed Cacaoga® (cacao + yoga), a class that unifies sacred, ceremonial cacao with heart-centered yoga and meditation. I am also a certified Zumba® instructor and offer classes regularly in Gainesville. In addition to teaching yoga, Cacaoga®, and Zumba®, I also lead individual and group meditations and local and international yoga and wellness retreats. I am honored to serve as a board member and program director of YogaLoka, a charitable organization that brings yoga and meditation to historically marginalized populations. Check out my ponderings about life, spirituality, and yoga on Elephant Journal, or join me for a guided meditation at: www.youtube.com/egetman1 or on the meditation app Insight Timer.
