Maintaining your health throughout school is a necessity and not a luxury, especially if your a veteran who recently left the military. Veteran obesity is higher than it's ever been. A host of issues come along with increased sedentary behavior like diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Your quality of life diminished and you will have to frequent the VA more. It's sad that veterans have a higher obesity rate than civilians of the same gender and demographic. If your a veteran, or know one, then more care should be taken to increase their energy expenditure (exercise more) and be more mindful of calorie consumption(better eating habits).

In this YouTube video, I go over why school is now your job and should be treated as such. You want to do a good job at work, so why wouldn't you put the same effort into school. If your late to class or don't put in that much effort you'll get a lower grade. You probably won't want that. Make every effort for learning the material you can, or your progress report will reflect poorly on you.

When you come out of the military and go straight into school, the process can be a little tough. Negotiating the hurdles of class, how to study, and choosing your professors can sometimes be hard to handle.
In this video, I go over how to find the best professor for your upcoming class schedule. I'll show you how to choose the best one that will increase the likelihood of a better grade.
Even if your a good student the professor's teaching style might not best suited for you. Make sure you put in the effort to find a good professor.

Another way to pay for school when you get out is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid or FAFSA. In this video I go over how to use your FAFSA and combine it with your Montgomery GiBill when you go to a community college first. Higher education like a university or graduate school may require the Post 9/11 first because the tuition and fees are higher.
Also depending if you go to school in your home state or Florida, will depend on added benefits you get for being a vet. Check out the video on YouTube.
