September is Baby Safety Month! Join us each Sunday in the month of September for a new water safety fact that every parent needs to know to keep their child safe.

Water Safety Fact #3: Prioritize water safety everywhere there is water! Practicing water safety begins at home, especially during bath time. Make sure the water is an appropriate level and temperature for your baby. Also make sure that you're using touch supervision by ensuring all your items for bath time are in an arm's reach so you won't have to turn away from your baby.

Water Safety Fact #2: Formal swim lessons can decrease the risk of drowning by up to 88%. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that babies should start swim lessons as young as age 1.

September is Baby Safety Month! Join us each Sunday in September for a new water safety fact that every parent needs to know in order to keep their baby safe.

Today's fact: Water doesn't need to be deep in order to be dangerous. Babies can drown in as little as 1 inch of water. That's why as soon as your baby can hold their head up, they should start learning how to swim.
