DanceWorx (or DWX), is Impact’s competitive dance team, compromised of 4 groups:

Blue - Beginner | Minis/Juniors (Ages 7-12)
Green - Intermediate | Juniors/Teens (Ages 11-16)
Purple - Advanced | Teens (Ages 12-17)
Silver - Professional/Advanced | Teens/Seniors (Ages 13-18)

DWX performs at various community events in the Fall and attends 1-2 conventions and 4-5 competitions in the Winter/Spring.

We’re so excited to welcome DWX alumna Ellie Cohen as a new instructor! After directing and producing a student-led dance program at Syracuse University, she’s returning home to share her passion and expertise with the next generation.

Ella Fielding our Super Hero Dance Camp instructor at Impact, can’t wait to see your kids this week at our FINAL KIDS camp!

Join us for Superhero Camp (ages 3–7) — a fun, gentle introduction to hero play where young children unleash imagination, build confidence, and learn teamwork while learning new and fun styles of dance. Age‑appropriate activities include cape‑and-mask crafts, simple movement games and obstacle courses to develop motor skills, guided role‑play and storytelling to practice empathy and problem‑solving, and music/dance sessions for active play.

Maya Killings our instructor for our
Everything Dance Camp is excited to work with your children next week.

Everything Dance Camp (ages 8-18) is a week-long, all-styles intensive offering dance training across ballet, jazz, contemporary, modern, lyrical, and more. Designed for all ages and levels, the camp provides technique classes, fun combinations, conditioning, improvisation, and performance skills. Small-group instruction and daily feedback help build your dancers strength, musicality, versatility, and confidence! The week ends with a performance for families and friends on Friday to showcase all they have learned. Fun, inclusive, and skill-building, perfect for dancers who want variety and accelerated growth.

Please help us welcome the newest member of our staff, Casey Thurston! We are so excited to have her join the Impact family and can’t wait for our dancers to learn and grow with her this season.

Join the fun and excitement of K-pop at our dance camp for ages 4–8! Young dancers will learn age-appropriate choreography inspired by popular K-pop music while building coordination, rhythm, confidence, and creativity. Camp activities include dance games, movement exercises, themed crafts, and mini performances in a positive and energetic environment. No experience is necessary—just bring your enthusiasm and get ready to dance, make friends, and have fun!

Friday we will have a pizza party with a performance at the end of the day! Hope to see you the week of July 20th!

Our infamous Pom Clinics will be back this summer!

Sign up today to secure your spot. Taught by former MCPS poms and pom coaches, our intensive preps both new and returning dancers for tryouts.
