Slow Yoga for Resilience and Coaching for Habit Change
In light of Coronavirus, I am teaching yoga classes and coaching my clients on Zoom in real time. That makes yoga really fun! The evidence for this is strong.
I am an E-RYT - 200 HR (registered yoga teacher) and a Certified Health Coach, and I teach private (one-on-one) and small group yoga classes as well as one-on one health coaching. I teach gentle forms of yoga to women who want to feel more at ease. My primary goal is to introduce women to the magic of slow mindful yoga practices that help them tune in to interoceptive and proprioceptive awareness

British swimmer Rob Hoey was enjoying a calm swim with his daughter off New Zealand’s North Island when the ocean suddenly revealed something extraordinary. 🌊👨👧
A pod of dolphins appeared out of nowhere, circling tightly around them and gently herding them toward the center. Each time Rob tried to swim away, two dolphins guided him back—protective, insistent, as if guarding against an unseen threat. 🐬✨
The danger soon revealed itself: a great white shark, nearly three meters long, was moving into the area. Instantly, the dolphins’ behavior shifted. They slapped the water with their tails, darted in coordinated bursts, and formed a living barrier—clearly working to intimidate and drive the predator away. 🦈⚡
For almost forty minutes, the dolphins held their protective formation, refusing to let Rob and his daughter leave until the shark finally retreated. Only then did they open the circle, allowing the two swimmers to reach safety.
The remarkable scene was witnessed by a lifeguard and several beachgoers, adding to the growing accounts of dolphins displaying extraordinary defensive instincts to shield humans from shark attacks. 🐬🤍♥️

Most people are good.
A female humpback whale had become entangled in a spider web of crab traps and lines. She was weighted down by hundreds of pounds of traps that caused her to struggle to stay afloat. She also had hundreds of yards of line rope wrapped around her body, her tail, her torso, a line tugging in her mouth.
This is her story of giving gratitude.
A fisherman spotted her just east of the Faralon Islands (outside the Golden Gate) and radioed for help. Within a few hours, the rescue team arrived and determind that she was so badly off, the only way to save her was to dive in and untangle her…. a very dangerous proposition.
One slap of the tail could kill a rescuer.
They worked for hours with curved knives and eventually freed her.
When she was free, the divers say she swam in what seemed like joyous circles. She then came back to each and every diver, one at a time, nudged them, and pushed gently, thanking them. Some said it was the most incredibly beautiful experience of their lives.
The guy who cut the rope out of her mouth says her eye was following him the whole time, and he will never be the same.
May you be so fortunate …
To be surrounded by people who will help you get untangld from the things that are binding you.
And, may you always know the joy of giving and receiving gratitude.
