No matter your experience level, we will always walk you through the ins and outs of stand up paddle boarding. You’ll learn how to size and hold your paddle, the anatomy of a paddle board, how to sit/stand on your board, different paddle strokes, and safety before even getting on the water (we call this land school). Join us for a class! Our full schedule is on our website—link in our bio. We’re always here for any questions or feedback you may have. Send us a DM or email us!

Hi everyone! I realized today that I’ve never taken the time to introduce myself.
I’m . I live with my husband, 3 kiddos, 2 dogs, and 2 cats in New Albany, Ohio.
In 2019 I opened my yoga studio in Gahanna, Ohio with no idea that a pandemic was about to wreak havoc on the studio and community we built in such a short amount of time. In September of 2021, despite our efforts to thrive, we closed our doors. I love being out on the water on my paddle board and my husband brought up starting a SUP Yoga business. I thought he was joking—I mean, I literally just shut the doors to our studio and didn’t even have a SUP Yoga certification. The more I thought about it, though, the more I loved the idea—it was all the things I love: yoga, paddle boarding, outdoors, fun. So, during a Black Friday sale, I purchased boards from and started looking for SUP Yoga certification programs, ultimately landing on and becoming certified through in Florida.
So, here I am. I travel around with my SUV packed with paddle boards and teach SUP and SUP Yoga. It’s a dream. I would love for you to join us for a class and know that my passion is to make yoga accessible to every body. You can practice yoga on your board through movement or through an easy seat. You can paddle standing or on your knees. No matter what we are doing, I promise you I will allow you a space to experience YOUR yoga, not force yoga on you. Nervous? Me too—every time I get on my board because I’m human. Let’s do this together! There’s a place for everyone to start and a place for all to take it further if that’s what you want.
I also offer donation based classes on Wednesdays (currently all donations go to my fundraising efforts—I’m riding 38 miles this year for my first pelotonia for my mom (breast cancer survivor) and dad (who lost his battle to cancer). I am also a full time momma to three busy kiddos and a full time student at Ohio University working toward my Master’s degree in psychology. Questions/comments: leave a comment or send a DM! Visit our website to book! Link in our bio.

To the Align Power Yoga Community:
I don’t want to start this with “it is with great sadness” or “with a heavy heart,” but honestly, although trite, both statements are right on with how I feel right now. When COVID hit, Align was only 5 months old and just building momentum. We were just starting our first teacher training and class sizes and members were growing right on track with my business plan. It was like seeing a dream come to life. Now, as I sit here with tears running down my cheeks, I have to see that dream come to a halt. COVID did a number on small businesses and we were not excluded. I remember making it to a year of being open last November and letting out a sigh of relief. When COVID numbers started to go down, restrictions were lightened, and folks started feeling more comfortable being around other people, things started looking up again. We started seeing more new and old faces and membership retention was rising in a way that kept us very optimistic. Then COVID spiked again. The sad truth is that I can’t responsibly keep the studio open any longer; the financial strain this pandemic has caused is just too much. Our doors will be closing September 19th. Our last class will be Yoga on Tap at Heart State Brewery and we’ll call it a “final, maybe not final hoorah.” I invite you to purchase a ticket and join us in celebrating the community that has been built. Know that your ticket purchase is paying teachers for their final classes at the studio.
Every student who has walked through the studio doors has impacted me and the team!
Every teacher has inspired me. We’ve laughed, cried, learned, and experienced growth together. New friendships and relationships have developed. Without you and our teachers, Align would not be. This is the hardest decision I have ever had to make. I’m also leaving it open ended. Who knows what will happen 6 months from now. Maybe things will be different.
