Galveston's Ball High debuts $24 million newly renovated stadium Athletes have waited nine months for the complete renovation of the stadium built in 1948.

The title of this picture might be something like "when the project is too close to the office". All mornings involve at least a lap around Kermit Courville Stadium in the truck, and as we get closer to the end the mornings involve getting out and showing it off! We have had lots of opportunities lately to give tours to the GISD staff, board of trustees, and others, and the response is always something like..."oh my God, this is great" and/or "it is so cool it makes me emotional". Today I toured my buddy Ann Masel for GISD School Board 5-E around and her response was "BILLY (she always emphasizes my name)!, you went to school here, you have to be proud". Well, yes mam I am. It has been a tough project and it is nice to hear positive feedback. Now we just have to close the deal and hope all of our efforts to build a and facility pay off with many years of service to the Galveston Independent School District.But it is not over yet! We need to power up the scoreboard and the lights (like tomorrow) before we can play some .
