Movie night on The Strand returns tonight at dusk with a showing of Hidden Figures! Released in 2017, the movie stars Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer, and Janelle Monáe.

Three brilliant African American women at NASA, Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan, and Mary Jackson, serve as the brains behind one of the greatest operations in history, the launch of astronaut John Glenn into orbit, a stunning achievement that restored the nation's confidence, turned around the Space Race, and galvanized the world.

FREE to the public. Bring your blankets, chairs, and friends for a Galveston night under the stars at Hendley Green.

You've got one more day to get your Dickens on the Strand fit finished! From chimney sweeps to Victorian finery, being at the festival in costume makes you part of the event itself.
