Our WAG ladies stepped up to the plate today for a fantastic Baseball-Themed WAG Luncheon at Galveston Country Club! ⚾️❤️
It was an afternoon filled with great food, plenty of laughs, wonderful fellowship, and lots of baseball spirit. From the creative decorations to the ballpark atmosphere, our WAG ladies once again knocked it out of the park! 💥⚾️

⛳ Celebrating the Remarkable History of Galveston Country Club
I’m excited to share a terrific new episode of Wise About Golf, hosted by Justice Ken Wise, that explores the fascinating history of Galveston Country Club — Texas’s first chartered country club, founded in 1898.
The episode, appropriately titled “The First Country Club,” tells a story that extends far beyond golf.
From its beginnings on Galveston Island and the devastating 1900 Storm to multiple relocations, fires, rebuilding efforts, and the club’s eventual home overlooking Lake Como, the history of GCC is truly a story of resilience, tradition, and community.
Along the way, Galveston Country Club became connected with some of the greatest names in the game, including Mungo Park, Donald Ross, Bobby Jones, Byron Nelson, Walter Hagen, Jackie Burke Jr., and Babe Zaharias.
As General Manager/COO, I’m incredibly proud to be part of an organization with more than 127 years of history and a legacy that helped establish the game of golf in Texas. Today, we have the privilege—and responsibility—of honoring that history while continuing to build the club for future generations.
A special thank you to Justice Ken Wise and Mark Davidson for the research, storytelling, and care they put into bringing the history of Galveston Country Club to life.
