Join us for our annual Underwater Pumpkin Carving Contest!! It’s our most popular event of the year that brings out the creative and creepy in all of us.

🗓️ When: Saturday, October 24 @ 10:30 AM - 2:30 PM
🗺️ Where: Twin Lakes - 19230 Morris Ave. Manvel, TX 77578 (lake entrance fee not included in ticket price)
🎟️ Ticket: $20 ticket includes one tank, weights, one pumpkin, carving tools, snacks, and water. Additional $25 rental package includes a BCD and regulator. Wetsuits available for additional rental fee, if desired.
ℹ️ Details: Wear your scariest, craziest, or prettiest DIVABLE costume and carve the best pumpkin you can while 15+ feet underwater. The best costume and carved pumpkin will win prizes!! 🏆

Our friends at Friends of Flower Garden Banks are hosting Galveston’s Gulf Film Festival on October 23, National Marine Sanctuary Day!

Enjoy short films celebrating the Gulf and Flower Garden Banks, plus a four-course food and beverage pairing. The evening also celebrates the launch of their new nonprofit supporting the sanctuary.

On October 23, National Marine Sanctuary Day, join us in Galveston for Galveston’s Gulf Film Festival🎬🌊, an evening celebrating NOAA's Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary and the extraordinary Gulf ecosystem that connects us all.

Held in partnership with the International Ocean Film Foundation the evening will feature a curated selection of short films exploring the Gulf. Join us to explore the greater Gulf ecosystem, the remarkable reefs of Flower Garden Banks, and the people, places, and ideas shaping our Gulf’s future.

The evening will also mark the public launch of Friends of Flower Garden Banks, a new nonprofit dedicated to building support and community around the sanctuary and the Gulf we share.
