Meet today’s shoreline superstars! 💫 These black skimmers are basically auditioning for Gulf’s Got Talent - lower beak in the water, vibes in the air, and absolutely zero concern for how jaw‑dropping they are! 🤩✨
Black skimmers have a shorter upper beak and a longer lower one perfectly designed for their smooth skim‑to‑snack technique. They stay airborne while gliding their lower bill across the water’s surface to snag food. 🎣

These rangers hooked living relics from the deep! 🐊🎣
With double rows of razor‑sharp teeth and armor‑plated scales, the alligator gar is one of the oldest(and misunderstood) predators in Texas waters. As a top hunter, it helps control booming fish populations, keeping our rivers and bays in balance. Not a true monster of the marsh, but a vital guardian of the ecosystem. 🌫️🌊👁️
