Greetings to all my friends and colleagues. I just spent the weekend assisting and "modeling" for Karena Thek at a ScolioPilates workshop at the New Strength Pilates Center in Missouri City, Texas. WHAT AN INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE. I have been working with and learning from Karena for at least 3 years, and it never fails that everytime I do, I learn something new. She is my scoliosis mentor, and it is because of her that I am now on this incredible scoliosis learning journey. What an amazing teacher and mentor and I am honored that I am one of her ScolioPilates practioners. Everyone should take the time and effort to study with Karena, it will change your life. It changed mine!!!

Good morning to all my friends and students and animals:).
My apologies for taking so long to give you a recent update on my progress. As of today, I am 12 weeks post-op. AND of course, in my 21 year old mind, I should be hiking, biking, and snowshoeing. Alas, surprise, surprise- that is NOT happening!!
However, I am SLOWLY learning to walk again and I am driving. I have begun to meditate again and I have learned to slow down a bit. I did go back to the studio 2 weeks post-op, and have been going ever since then, albeit slowly. My surgeon is VERY happy with my progress so I am encouraged:).
Many thanks to all of my students and friends who have helped me the last few weeks.
To all my spin kids, sadly I will not be doing that in the near future, but I will ride the heck out of my beach cruiser.
To my water aerobic students, expect a LOT MORE boot camp deep water work.
To my girls, Lola and Mya, soon we will hit the beach on the bike.
