The State of the Pool Address

Good evening, Garden City Pool Family!

With an amazing Fourth of July weekend behind us and many more incredible summer days still ahead, I wanted to take a moment to give everyone my official State of the Pool Address.

🇺🇸 The State of the Pool is Strong!

Thanks to all of you, the Garden City Pool has been buzzing with activity every single day. Families are making memories, friends are reconnecting, children are laughing, and our staff has been working hard to make this another unforgettable summer. Seeing so many smiling faces enjoying everything our pool has to offer reminds us why this place is so special.

As our attendance continues to grow, we just need everyone's help with a few important reminders to keep the pool safe, clean, and enjoyable for every member of our GCP family.

🍔 Please Keep Food & Drinks Off the Lower Deck

This is our biggest reminder.

There is absolutely no eating or drinking (other than water) on the lower deck. We have noticed an increase in food and beverages being brought throughout the lower deck, and we need everyone's cooperation.

Please enjoy your meals and drinks only in the:

Picnic Area
Dining Area
Snack Bar Area

These rules help keep our pool clean, protect the water quality, and reduce unwanted pests around the deck.

👨‍👩‍👧 Parents & Guardians: Please Keep an Eye on Your Children

Our lifeguards are here for one very important reason—to watch the water and keep swimmers safe.

The pool staff is not a babysitting service. Children should always be supervised by a parent or responsible adult and should not be wandering the facility on their own.

Your attention helps us ensure that our guards can stay focused where they are needed most: keeping everyone safe in and around the water.

🍺 Alcohol Is Not Permitted on the Lower Deck

We have also seen adults bringing alcoholic beverages onto the lower deck.

Alcohol is not permitted on the lower deck under any circumstances.

If you choose to enjoy an alcoholic beverage, please do so only in the designated areas and always follow all pool rules. We appreciate everyone's cooperation in helping us maintain a safe, family-friendly environment.

🎟️ Your Pool Card Is Yours and Yours Alone

Your membership card is issued specifically to you and your family. Pool cards may not be shared with anyone who is not listed on your membership.

Attempting to allow a non-member into the facility by sharing or lending your pool card is considered misuse of your membership and may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or revocation of membership privileges.

Please help us protect the integrity of the membership program by using only your own pool card.

🤝 Bringing a Guest? They're Your Responsibility

We love welcoming guests to enjoy the Garden City Pool, but please remember that guests are the responsibility of the member who brings them.

Members must remain with their guests while they are at the facility and are responsible for ensuring they follow all pool rules and policies. Whether it's respecting our safety rules, cleaning up after themselves, or following staff directions, your guest's actions reflect on your membership.

A little guidance goes a long way in helping everyone have a great day at the pool.

❤️ Thank You

These reminders aren't meant to take away from anyone's fun—they're here to make sure every member of our Garden City Pool family can enjoy a safe, clean, and welcoming facility all summer long.

Thank you for doing your part, supporting our incredible staff, respecting the rules, and helping make the Garden City Pool one of the best places to spend the summer.

The Fourth of July may be behind us, but the best part of summer is just getting started. We have an incredible lineup of events, activities, and memories still to come, and we can't wait to spend the rest of the summer with all of you.

See you at the pool!

🇺🇸🐊 From the Desk of Goggles the Gator 🐊🇺🇸

As America’s 250th Birthday Celebration comes to a close, I find myself filled with gratitude.

Today, our Garden City Pool wasn’t just a place to swim—it was a place where families gathered, neighbors laughed together, children made memories, and our community celebrated what it means to be an American.

Before anything else, I want to give the biggest shoutout possible to our incredible Garden City Pool staff.

To our lifeguards who kept everyone safe, our office staff who kept everything running smoothly, our maintenance team who worked behind the scenes, our gate attendants, snack bar staff, managers, and every employee who stepped up wherever they were needed—thank you. You worked hard, supported one another, and made today a celebration our pool family will remember for years to come.

Two hundred and fifty years ago, a remarkable group of people dared to imagine something different. They believed that ordinary people, united by extraordinary ideals, could build a nation founded on liberty, opportunity, and the belief that tomorrow could be better than today.

Those ideals have carried America through triumphs and challenges alike.

Today, I saw those same ideals reflected right here at the Garden City Pool.

I saw people from every generation celebrating side by side. I saw teamwork. I saw kindness. I saw neighbors helping neighbors. I saw laughter echoing across the water, children proudly racing cardboard boats, families cheering one another on, and a community coming together—not because they had to, but because that’s what communities do.

The Garden City Pool has always been more than a pool. It’s a place where summers become lifelong memories, friendships are made, traditions are passed from one generation to the next, and every season reminds us that the strongest communities are built by people who care about one another.

As the sun sets on this historic Fourth of July, remember that America has never just been about the events of 1776. It’s about the generations that followed—people who continued building, serving, volunteering, teaching, protecting, and believing that together we can leave something better for those who come next.

Thank you to every member of our Garden City Pool family for making today so special.

And to our amazing staff: you didn’t just run an event—you helped create a memory that families will carry with them long after this summer ends.

Here’s to the next 250 years of the American story, and to the communities that keep that story alive every single day.

Happy 250th Birthday, America.

With gratitude and plenty of poolside pride,
Goggles !!!

🐊🇺🇸 From the Desk of Goggles the Gator: 250 Years in the Making 🇺🇸🐊

Tomorrow, America celebrates an extraordinary milestone—250 years since the birth of our nation.

Two and a half centuries ago, a group of patriots signed a document that changed history forever. They dreamed of a nation built on liberty, opportunity, and community. Tomorrow, all across the country, Americans will honor that legacy—and here at the Garden City Pool, we’ll celebrate it the best way we know how.

Our staff has been hard at work all week preparing for a fantastic Fourth of July celebration. Games are being organized, prizes are ready, the grounds are being prepared, the pools are sparkling, and everyone is excited to welcome our Pool Family for a day worthy of America’s 250th birthday.

After one of the hottest stretches of summer we’ve seen, the Garden City Pool has become more than just a place to cool off. During this heatwave, it’s been a gathering place where families escaped the heat, neighbors caught up with one another, children laughed from sunrise to sunset, and our lifeguards, maintenance crew, and staff worked tirelessly to keep everyone safe and comfortable.

History isn’t made only in famous cities or on battlefields.

It’s also made in communities.

It’s made when families gather together. It’s made when traditions are passed from one generation to the next. It’s made when children learn to swim, teenagers take pride in their first summer jobs, and neighbors become lifelong friends.

Every summer, the Garden City Pool becomes part of that story.

Tomorrow, as the American flag waves over the water, we’ll remember the generations who built this country, those who defended it, and those who continue to serve it every day. Their sacrifices allow us to enjoy simple moments like a child jumping into a pool for the first time, a family sharing a laugh, friends competing in games, and a community coming together in celebration.

So as we celebrate America’s 250th birthday, remember that every generation leaves its mark.

Tomorrow, let’s make ours one filled with kindness, community, patriotism, laughter, and memories that will last long after this summer ends.

From my home to yours, I can’t wait to celebrate with all of you.

Happy 250th Birthday, America!

We’ll see you tomorrow for a day of music, games, prizes, community, and plenty of red, white, and blue as we celebrate the greatest nation in the world and the greatest Pool Family anywhere.

🇺🇸 God Bless America, and God Bless the Garden City Pool Family! 🐊❤️🤍💙

🥵☀️ HEATWAVE: GCP Edition☀️🥵

The temperatures keep climbing, but so does the dedication of the incredible Garden City Pool team! 💙🐊

While many people are trying to stay inside with the air conditioning, our amazing staff and lifeguards have been out here all day long in the blazing sun, making sure the Garden City Pool remains the coolest place to be on Long Island.

A massive round of applause goes out to every single member of our team. 👏👏👏

To our lifeguards—thank you for staying focused through the heat, keeping a constant watch over our members, and making safety your number one priority every single minute of the day.

To our staff—thank you for bringing the energy, running games, organizing activities, helping members, and somehow keeping the fun going even when the thermometer feels like it’s trying to set everything on fire .

Every chair that’s straightened, every deck that’s cleaned, every pool that’s sparkling, every smiling face that greets our members—it all happens because of an incredible team that truly cares about this pool and the families who call it their summer home.

To our amazing Garden City Pool family, thank you for your patience, your kindness, and for choosing to spend your summer with us. Seeing thousands of smiling faces enjoying the water makes every hot day worth it.

We’re keeping the water as cool as we can , the smiles big, and the summer memories coming.

From all of us—and especially Goggles the Gator—THANK YOU to the best pool staff anywhere. You are the heart of the Garden City Pool, and we couldn’t do it without you! 🐊💙

Stay hydrated, wear your sunscreen, and we’ll see you on the pool deck!
