OC Judo members and fans. Tomorrow is the last day to sign up for the Golden State Judo Championships. It is going to be a great event. This is HUGE news coming out of the IJF - International Judo Federation They are partnering with Chuck Jefferson and his company Judo United to promote judo and host events for development of our sport in California in the leadup to LA28. Chuck has been a partner and dear friend of OC Judo since our founding, and sincere congratulations to him for this initiative. This is going to be a wonderful opportunity for our members!

The judoka in Florida can learn from a legend this weekend at Falcon Judo Club. They are hosting Neil Adams Judo

The first time Sensei Juan Montenegro and I trained with Neil was when we learned at the last minute that he was doing an event at SJSU Judo. A few hours later, we jumped into the car and drove 380 miles to SJSU. It was well worth it.

We got a little smarter in 2014 and brought him to OC Judo and then again in 2019 so that our members and friends of OC Judo could share the mat with him. It was not only a great learning experience for all. It was a great business decision.

When OC Judo black belt Sensei Patrick Dooley opened Shimeru Judo & Jiu Jitsu Club near the end of the Covid era in 2021, there was only one person considered to be the Grand Opening clinician and it was Neil Adams MBE in a VIP Invitation Only event. Again, he did not disappoint the participants and made for an unforgettable grand opening.

Coaches, if you are in Florida, please share with your students. It was a great experience for all our coaches, members and friends. I've never heard anyone from anywhere, say otherwise.

Attention all OC Judo coaches, members and fans! Chuck Jefferson and Judo United are hosting what will be the Camp of the Year on April 25th and 26th at the Plex in San Jose. They are bringing World Silver medalist Tommy Macias from Sweden for the Teen/Adult sessions and Nicki Graczyk, a renown youth coach from Germany for the under 13 sessions.

The Tommy Macias experience is completely different from your typical clinician coming in and showing their tokui waza, maybe a combination or drill. Tommy will teach you how to think like a world class competitor on making quick decisions, get the reactions you need from your opponents to achieve success and win the exchanges against your opponents in your matches.

This is priceless information and the Macias Camp has been getting accolades across the European continent. Chuck and his team are now bringing it to California. Another must attend event from Judo United.
