It’s that time of year again, AYS Family — our Fall Bottle Drive is back, and every single bottle helps us get closer to giving our athletes the indoor home they deserve.

• Have bags of bottles sitting around the house or outside? We can come grab them!

🚨 PLEASE SHUT THE GATES WHEN YOU LEAVE! 🚨

AYS is happy to see players coming out, putting in the work, improving their skills, and preparing for the winter season. We want our athletes to have a place where they can practice and get better! 💪🏀

However, we need everyone’s help taking care of our facility and equipment.

Our equipment, fencing, basketballs, speakers, basketball hoops, and other facility items all require maintenance and replacement. When equipment is misused, damaged, or not properly secured, those costs increase—and ultimately, that can mean higher costs for the athletes and families in our program.

🙏 PLEASE, when you are finished using the facility, make sure the gates are CLOSED and SECURED before you leave.

Please respect the facility, take care of the equipment, and help us keep everything in good condition for ALL of our athletes.

We’re getting close, AYS family! Our Margaritas Fundraiser in Augusta is just 2 weeks out, and we don’t want anyone missing their chance to support our athletes.

📅 September 29 • 3 PM – 9 PM

Don’t forget to print the fundraiser flyer and bring it with you to the restaurant — it’s required for AYS to receive the donation!

💸 Margaritas will donate 20% of your bill to Atlantic Youth Sports!

Every meal helps fuel our Make Athletes Matter Together campaign and pushes us closer to building a year‑round indoor home for our athletes.

August was our first Junior Officiating Clinic, where students learned directly from an IAABO official, discussed game strategy, and gained confidence in making calls. We’re committed to helping young athletes learn the game from every angle.

More classes are on the way, and we can’t wait to keep building confident young officials. Stay tuned!

🏐We are moving our AYS Inc Madness Volleyball & MV Elites tryouts to comply with MPA guidelines, which require us to wait until after the regular season concludes. Thank you for learning and growing with us!

Here are the updated details you need to know:
📅 New Tryout Dates:
Primary Tryout: Sunday, November 1, 2026
Tentative Extra Tryout: Sunday, November 8, 2026(Note: Players will get an email to attend if needed)

⏰ Updated Time & Check-In
Check-In: 2:30 PM in the lobby
Tryouts: Same time as originally planned.(Please note the lobby check-in, as the gym is booked from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM).

🏆📣 Join the Atlantic Youth Sports, Inc. Executive Board!
Atlantic Youth Sports, Inc. is seeking dedicated volunteer board members to help guide our mission and future. The Executive Board serves year‑round, committing time and expertise to ensure the continued success of AYS programs and the development of our athletes.

These annual positions include monthly board meetings and oversight of all sports and property in West Gardiner, Maine.

✨ Open Board Positions (Annual – All Programs)
Administrative Assistant - Responsible for administrative and governance tasks supporting the Executive Board.

Financial Officer - Maintains accounting systems, reviews procedures, and recommends improvements.

Development Director - Generates marketing opportunities, sponsors, and grants to support AYS programs.

Social Media/Website Coordinator - Manages social media accounts, emails, and website; creates flyers and promotional content.

Facility Director - Oversees planning, communication, and coordination for teams and facility use.

Registrar - Manages registrations and teams, assists coaches, and supports seasonal operations.
