ACSHA Welcome - Since 1982, the ACSHA has been serving the South Central Pennsylvania area. A small clubhouse with snack and beverage vending. http://acsha.com/

We strive to provide the community with safe, fun and professional shooting range services and training. The ACSHA is a private outdoor range facility located near Gettysburg, Pa in northern Adams County, south-central Pennsylvania. ACSHA facilities include two 25 yard pistol ranges, for action pistol events, and a 100 yard rifle range. Access is limited by a locked gate, unless the range is open for an event or meetings. We hold action shoots for all types of fi****ms. We provide various NRA training courses. Please refer to our current schedule, as well as descriptions and pictures of our training and events, all of which is located at our website.

Maintenance tip: please do not use the plastic barrels as trash bins. A recently found barrel on the middle bay was partially filled with burnable trash, along with other trash. The plastic barrels are for training, not trash. Any non-burnable trash should leave the range with the one who makes it.

Safety Tip: two of the biggest training organizations have similar gun safety rules, and they are all worth looking at. Clearly, keeping the firearm pointed in a safe direction is arguably the most important, but they all are really important. Posting these to help along the culture of safety.

USCCA Four Essential Gun Safety Rules

Rule 1: Treat All Fi****ms as if They Are Loaded
Rule 2: Never Point the Firearm at Anything You’re Not Willing to Shoot
Rule 3: Keep Your Finger Off the Trigger Until You Have Made the Decision to Shoot
Rule 4: Know Your Target and Understand What Is Beyond It

NRA Gun Safety Rules

ALWAYS
Keep The Gun Pointed In A Safe Direction

ALWAYS
Keep Your Finger Off The Trigger Until Ready To Shoot

ALWAYS
Keep The Gun Unloaded Until Ready To Use

Please note the Oct 23rd event; from 1pm to close the full range is reserved. This will be mentioned in a formal club email, but is also mirrored here in FB.

Safety tip: the banister to the club house is in need of some TLC. Until we get a formal fix on that, this PSA will also mention that if anyone has any extra pressure treated 2x4's, that would be super duper awesome. :)

As the data cleanup continues, please let us know if you think you are missing club emails (and that you are a member), along with any other items that may have been missed in the lost emails/phone/communication issues for the past, or of any other inquiry to the club that went unanswered.

For example: we just found today an email from the 15,000+ spam (in just one account) that was from a member who is aging, and wanted to be removed from the list because she won't be attending anymore since her husband (who was also a member) had passed in the fall of 2024. Unfortunately we are just now discovering this email, and there are still many tens-of-thousands of emails that are backed up in the other accounts that are being sifted through to avoid such issues as this.

Much good work continues behind the scenes with the website administration (kudos to Sandy!), and we appreciate your patience with the upkeep. Any inquiries to the [email protected] email addy are being addressed immediately, and are channeled to the correct folks.

Our best NSSF—The Firearm Industry Trade Association yet today! Thank you to all who came out. Seeing the little ones have fun was definitely a highlight. Kudos also to Don for setting up early, as that was a huge help.

We will have another session before the end of the year.

Welcome to the new members from tonights meeting; much hubbub is in store, and good things are ahead. As a reminder, any members viewing this FB page that are NOT receiving the club emails, please pvt msg directly with your name, email, and phone #; we will get you added to the list, and help to ensure that you receive the club emails. Non-members, of course, please feel free to join the ACSHA; accessible ranges are literally drying up, and we need them to keep our rights-practice in effect. And of course, to anyone, please feel free to refer non-members who want to enjoy their 2A rights to join the ACSHA. Many training options are on the near-horizon, and knowledge/training are part of what makes the 2A so important.
