🎃⛳️ OUTSIDE THE SIM: HALLOWEEN EDITION

Somehow a round of golf turned into a discussion about Lauren’s long and slightly ridiculous history of Halloween costumes. 😂

And yes…we have the photographic evidence.

From costumes of Halloweens past to whatever we’re planning this year, apparently Halloween deserves its own segment of Outside the Sim.

Which brings us to the important part…

👻 HALLOWEEN GLOWBALL AT SULLY’S — OCTOBER 31!

We’re turning down the lights, breaking out the glowballs and celebrating Halloween with golf, costumes, food, drinks and a whole lot of fun.

And judging by the flashback photos in this video, you should probably start working on your costume. 😂

⛳️ OUTSIDE THE SIM: THIS IS ONE WAY TO MAKE BIRDIE… 😂

Justin steps onto a par 5.

Tee shot: Out of bounds. 🤦‍♂️
Next shot: Back in play.
Then, from 210 YARDS OUT…

He holes it. 🤯

For birdie.

Because apparently the easiest way to make a 4 on a par 5 is to hit one OB first and then just hole out from the fairway. 😂

This is exactly why we take Outside the Sim outside the sim. You simply cannot script this stuff.

And somehow, this wasn’t even the only memorable part of this round. 👀

Sometimes you have to look back to realize just how far you’ve come. ❤️

From an empty building and a crazy idea… to Sully’s Golf & Gather.

A lot of work. A lot of late nights. A few “what were we thinking?” moments. 😂 And more memories than we ever could have imagined.

But the best part of this transformation isn’t the building.

It’s the people who filled it.

Thanks for being part of what Sully’s has become. ⛳️🍻

And we’re just getting started.

⛳️ OUTSIDE THE SIM — PART 3

This episode is short.

Very short. 😂

And there’s a reason for that.

After the bad golf, the slow play and an increasingly questionable level of enjoyment…we made it to the 8th hole and decided we had officially had enough golf for one day.

So that’s where the footage ends. 🤷‍♀️

No dramatic finish. No back nine comeback. No 18th-hole showdown.

We packed up the clubs and went for coffee. ☕️😂

And since Lauren was technically leading after 7, she declared herself the winner and therefore earned the right to choose the post-round stop:

🎃 Pumpkin muffin

Golf asks us to be patient, grind through adversity and learn how to handle frustration. Those are some of the things we love about it.

But we’re also playing this game because we enjoy it.

Sometimes the right call is to grind it out.

And sometimes the right call is coffee and a pumpkin muffin. 😂

Lauren wins in 7. We’ll see if Mike recognizes the result as official. 😏

An investigation into the hole-in-one that shocked the golf world… or at least everyone at Sully’s.

Larry says he knew it was going in.

⛳️ GOLF TIP TUESDAY: WHAT CAN A BAD ROUND TEACH YOU?

We’re interrupting our latest Outside the Sim round for a little Golf Tip Tuesday—because even on a day when neither of us was playing particularly well, Mike found plenty to teach. 😂

And most of it had nothing to do with making a perfect golf swing.

A few lessons from the day:

⛳ A good short game makes a LOT of good things happen.

⛳ Lag putting matters. A good first putt can help erase some of the damage from a bad tee shot or approach.

⛳ Threes are always a good score. However you got there, write it down and move on.

⛳ Play the club YOU believe you can hit. Mike talked Lauren into using a club she wasn’t comfortable with. She shanked it. 😬 She went back to the club she wanted in the first place…and hit the shot.

There’s a lesson in there somewhere, Mike. 😂

And one for our newer golfers:

Don’t feel like you have to say “good shot” when it wasn’t a good shot. Sometimes the appropriate response is just…silence. 😂

The bigger lesson? You don’t need your best golf swing to find ways to score.

Sometimes playing better golf is less about fixing your swing and more about making better decisions with the game you brought with you that day.

And trust us…we definitely did NOT bring our best games that day. 🤦‍♀️

Part 3 of this adventure is coming—and let’s just say we don’t make it to 18. 👀

We checked the security cameras to see what happens at Sully’s after everyone goes home…

Apparently we have an entire overnight staff we didn’t know about. 😂

They haven’t completed any opening or closing duties, they refuse to answer the phone, and so far none of them have sold a single bay.

But attendance has been excellent.

Welcome to the Sully’s night shift. 🌙😂
