🏁 IMCA SUPER NATIONALS — DAY 1 RECAP & DAY 2 OUTLOOK 🏁

If you’re wondering how Super Nationals at Boone Speedway is going… we’re tired, slightly confused, and somehow still racing. So, pretty much exactly as expected. 😂

DAY 1:
Josh drew 182/300, putting us P6 in Heat 14. He managed to drive it up to P5, which got us into a B Main for points. We finally rolled onto the track just before MIDNIGHT for the B.

Started P8, moved up one spot to P7, and—most importantly—didn’t tear the car up.

At this point, our standards are simple:
✅ Car still runs
✅ No major body parts missing
✅ Nobody has threatened to sell the car
✅ We survived another day

WE’LL CALL THAT A SUCCESS. 😂

DAY 2:
Josh drew 131/300, putting us P4 in Heat 14. He moved up two spots to P2, earning us a P15 redraw for the feature.

We’ve definitely got our work cut out for us, but the car is fast, it’s still in one piece, and we’re here to send it.

P15. Top 8. Let’s make some questionable decisions. 😂🏁

🏁 PRELUDE TO THE SUPER NATIONALS — DAY 2 🏁

Well, Day 2 went about as well as you’d expect at Boone Speedway.

We drew pretty much dead middle of the road, putting us P5 in Heat 14. We were sitting in the LAST TRANSFER SPOT to the A, which is exactly where you want to be when your brain decides to start thinking about the next round instead of finishing the one you’re currently in. 😐

So naturally… we caught the damn infield tires. Because apparently passing cars wasn’t enough excitement. We decided to go sightseeing through the infield instead. Unfortunately, the infield tires did not appreciate our visit, and that was the end of our heat race. 😂

No A.
No B.
Just bad vibes.

We got the car fixed up and ready to go for the next day, because apparently we enjoy making more work for ourselves.

Then Mother Nature looked at our situation and said, “You know what? That’s enough punishment for one day.” 🌩️

A storm rolled in and cancelled the rest of the program, so we spent the storm taking naps 😴

Once the weather cleared, we went out, explored a little, and rang in Taylor’s birthday! 🎂🎉 So at least the day ended on a high note!

Now we get to do it all over again. 🙃

We’ll see what happens. Hopefully today we can keep the car out of the infield and pointed in the right direction. 😅

Day 3… surely we’ve learned something by now. 🤞🏼

🏁 DAY 2 OF THE PRELUDE TO THE SUPER NATIONALS 🏁

And FINALLY… it’s our day!

The driver drew 157/300, which puts us about right in the middle of the pack. We’ll roll off P5 in Heat 14 and we’re hoping to make some magic happen!

🤞🏼 Cross everything and send all the racing luck our way! We need a Top 3 finish to transfer into tonight’s main event.

Tonight doesn’t count for anything toward the upcoming week, but it’s a great opportunity to see where we stack up and get a pretty good idea of what we’re going to be dealing with once the 44th IMCA Super Nationals officially gets rolling.

Time to buckle up and see what this thing can do! 🏁🔥

We know… we’ve been a little QUIET lately. 👀

Life has been keeping us busy in the real world, so the race car has had to patiently wait its turn. 😂 But we’re officially getting things moving again!

The car got WRAPPED yesterday and is looking fresh! 🔥Now we just need to get some welding done on the frame, put everything back together, and pretend we have plenty of time. 😅

Because apparently T-MINUS 7 DAYS until SUPER NATIONALS! 🏁

Nothing like a little last-minute pressure to really get the adrenaline going. 😂

We’ve got a lot of work ahead of us, but we’ll be there and ready to go! 💪 Couldn’t do it without Matt & Taylor!

Super Nationals, here we come! 🏁

Season Championship at Kossuth County Speedway… well, that escalated quickly. 😂🏁

With the highest point average, we knew we’d be starting in the back of the heat. Managed to work our way up to P3, which put us P2 in the feature based on our second-place finish in overall points.

Apparently leaving an entire lane isn’t enough when they’re determined to drive through you like it’s a demo derby. 💥🫣 We’ll spare the details, watch the replay if you want, but the car took a beating.

We’ve got a LOT of fixing to do—new body panels, a new wrap on AT LEAST the right side, and probably a little therapy for the crew. 😂

Not exactly how we wanted to end the season here, but we’ll get it put back together and be ready to go.
