Garner Sports League Welcome to Garner Sports League! We also offer Flag Football for boys and girls ages 3-16.

We are a volunteer run 501c(3) non-profit organization offering Tee Ball, Baseball, Softball, and Flag Football for boys and girls ages 3 - 18 in Garner and the surrounding communities! Garner Sports League (GSL) offers youth baseball, fast-pitch softball, and flag football programs to hundreds of kids each year in Garner and the surrounding areas. We have baseball and softball programs for boys and girls ages 3-18 from tee-ball for our youngest participants up to player pitch leagues for our older participants. Our offerings include recreational leagues in the Spring and Fall and travel baseball teams that practice and compete in tournaments for much of the year. Garner Sports League was originally founded in 1988 as Garner Area Youth Sports League (GAYSL), offering only softball, being one of the only girls youth softball leagues in the area. GAYSL later added baseball and affiliated with Little League, becoming Garner Little League. In 2019 Garner Little League re-branded as Garner Sports League (GSL), adding a competitive branch to their organization by merging with Garner Generals travel baseball.

Our rec teams are working their way through the double-elimination tournament, and tonight we’ve got a World Series game on the schedule!

The Tampa Bay Rays travel to the Milwaukee Brewers for some Game 1 action. Both teams are seeking their first title.

Good luck to the teams taking the field tonight — and remember, GSL rec tournament action continues Monday and Tuesday, so there’s still plenty of baseball left to play.

And our Garner Generals travel teams are still rolling too, with a few more weeks left in their season.

Keep an eye on the page for this weekend’s travel schedule!

Who are you rooting for tonight?
