BACKSTOP BOOTCAMP x CBU Tampa

We are excited to bring this catchers-only training event led by our founder, Turner Pruitt, to CBU Tampa youth catchers‼️

This two-hour clinic will include high-level catching instruction across every aspect of the position - receiving, blocking, throwing, and specialty plays. Catchers will be separated into age-specific groups, where they will be taken through curated drill progressions and skill work in an environment designed to bring the best out of them through collaboration and competition.

Catching is one of the hardest positions in sports.

Yet one of the most under-coached and undertrained.

Catchers require highly technical skill, elite specialized athleticism, high IQ & awareness, physical & mental endurance, and extreme toughness, among other demands.

And not just for 4 at-bats, or the couple times per game when the ball is hit to them…

But on EVERY SINGLE PITCH OF THE GAME.

If you want to be good at catching, you have to prepare accordingly.

You cannot expect to just show up to games and team practices and develop the abilities necessary to succeed at this position.

You need to:

✅ Leaen the right information on how to play the position from people who know and have been there
✅ Develop the skills that actually matter and translate to game performance
✅ Stack quality reps with intention and purpose, consistently over a long period of time.

So many catchers are looking for answers, but struggle to find the guidance they need to get where they want to go.
